GameFi studios are booming once again as crypto prices recover

The Web3 gaming industry is rebounding as crypto values rise. As Bitcoin gets closer to its all-time highs, GameFi projects which became popular during the 2020–2022 bull run are making a strong comeback. The main game, Guild of Guardians (GOG), released on Google Play and the Apple App Store on May 15 by the Ethereum-based game studio Immutable.

Players enter the Elderym realm in this game, which is under threat from the Dread. To take down bosses and navigate dungeons, players must assemble teams of Guardians and collect GOG tokens along the route.

Chris Clay, the director of Immutable Games, stated that the Immutable Passport and Immutable zkEVM will also highlighted. The creators have reserved $1 million in GOG tokens and a variety of hero NFTs as bonus awards to commemorate the game’s release.

Expanding GameFi : Animoca Brands Japan and Symbiogenesis Bring Blockchain Gaming to a Global Audience

Animoca Brands Japan indicated that it will assist Symbiogenesis by using its experience in bringing Japanese initiatives to a global audience, managing global NFT sales and marketing, and encouraging joint ventures among Animoca Brands’ wide range of partners and portfolio firms. In Symbiogenesis, players take on objectives centered around the concepts of monopoly and distribution as they explore a devastated high fantasy setting.

The game can play using any of the 10,000 NFT characters, which also serve as personal profile images. The dark fantasy action role-playing game Seraph: In the Darkness, developed by Seraph Studio and built on Arbitrum, was reported to have surpassed 11,000 Ether in sales through a variety of in-game NFT transactions, including heroes, equipment, and priority passes, on April 19 by Cointelegraph. Currently in its preseason phase, the game is still in development.

Similarly, on May 13, over 1 million daily active players reached a milestone in the casual Web3 game Pixels, which combines farming and exploration in an open-ended setting. Through in-game purchases and VIP memberships, it has brought in $4.4 million in token revenue in the last month.

Following its token sale on Binance and migration to the Ronin blockchain, Pixels valued at $2.7 billion in February. Unlike prior cycles, innovative businesses are prevailing in the present bull market for cryptocurrencies.

Nearly two-thirds of all blockchain GameFi NFT transactions occurred two years ago in the fantasy monster battle NFT game Axie Infinity. The monthly player count for Axie Infinity was approximately 2.7 million back then, but it is currently down to 342,353.
